Xiaomi surprises with MiMo-V2-Pro

In my perspective, Xiaomi has consistently stood out for its quality and innovation. Over the years, I've used several of their smartphones and never had any problems, considering them to be high-performing devices.

For example, the "Xiaomi 17 Pro Max," according to some experts, surpasses the "iPhone 17 Pro" in several aspects. Furthermore, Xiaomi has been expanding its portfolio, including automobile production.

Earlier this year, the "Hunter Alpha" model emerged, speculated to be version 4 of "DeepSeek."

However, on March 19th, Xiaomi officially revealed it to be the AI model "MiMo-V2-Pro," with almost 1 trillion parameters. One of the team's collaborators, Luo Fuli, was a key contributor to DeepSeek's innovative models.

This model is capable of handling complex tasks and multitasking, as well as interacting with applications. It is expected to be integrated into smartphones and also into the operating system of the brand's vehicles.

Another model, the MiMo-V2-Omni, was developed for multimodal tasks, capable of processing audio, images, and video in a single stream. According to Xiaomi, in some more demanding scenarios, this model can even outperform the Gemini 3 Pro.

The MiMo-V2-Pro, considered the most advanced of the set, has a context window of up to 1 million tokens, allowing it to manage long and complex workflows with little or no human intervention.

Over the next three years, Xiaomi plans to invest approximately 60 trillion yuan (approximately 7.8 trillion euros) in the development of artificial intelligence.
